Small EDC defensive/utility
A bladeforums member contacted me almost a month ago wanting a fixed blade in a size that that had many of the hoofprints of a combat capable knife in a size that would not be inconvenient to carry all day. He wanted it as slim as possible so the hole pattern (holes countersunk with polished bevels) will give a secure grip if he chooses to remove the 550 wrap it will get after HT (going to HT today). This is not my usual style but I can see myself making more like it.

I usually don't go for smaller knives but this may be one of my faves you have made so far. Like the beveled holes, really gives it a "complete" look.

I'm getting a milling machine soon so my work is going to improve quickly.

I personally preferred the silver coating but that aside, I really like the look of that! How long have you been making blades for? I usually go here for Tactical Knives but I'm considering going into my own customizing. My dad's a bit of an enthusiast and it's his birthday coming up soon and I know it'll mean a lot to him if I hand-made a blade for him. Could you by any chance impart wisdom onto myself? His birthday's not until Christmas (well, Christmas eve, actually. Terrible time to have a birthday), do you think I'll have time to make one? I really like the look of yours!

that is a dandy little blade, i bet very reasonable weight to carry all the time. Now it just needs a good sheath!
I don't see the holes adding much traction but the finger groove should be sufficient.

First off, that's not a coating. I hand polished it. I ended up making an inside the waistline sheath. I can give you some pointers no prob. Call me at 559-375-4408.
