What kind of knives are these?

Post by ebaynanny »

Hello!

I saw a collection of knives on the picture. Can anyone hint me on the producer or company or the knife name?

Apparently these are quite small knives.

Thanks a lot!

Welcome aboard ebaynanny.

They look like inexpensive 2-3 dollar knives probably made in China.

Whipper's right. And if you pay over 2 dollars you've paid too much. They are what are called 'promotion knives'. Usually sold by the hundreds or thousands with company logos, etc. Not bad little pocket knives though.

In the 80's I belonged to a knife collector's club. Some of you might remember The Edge Co. If you were a member you would receive a knife every month. This is one of the knives I got. It was made in Japan. I carried this knife for years. I even bought one for my father in law who still carries this knife everyday. It is called the Explorer Stubby. Liner lock knives were still pretty rare and having a way to tighten the blade was something rare too. I remember showing it to people and they couldn't figure out how to close it.
