Gil Hibben knives
Does any one have one ? Like it hate it? I only have one - a "Highlander Bowie" it seems nice as do some others. Then some of them look pretty far out but I guess there are only so many ways to make a knife before it gets to cuckoo land.
Re: Gil Hibben knives
That is a sweet looking knife , does the blade have a dull finish or is that just the angle of the shot

Re: Gil Hibben knives
Mine has a fairly shiny finish and the shealh is nice.
Re: Gil Hibben knives
i noticed that some have the damascus blade, n they are a lot more expensive, i dunno if this model has that option or not, but this doesn't look like a pic of a damascus....

Most of those knives are fairly inexpensive.

(old thread I know)
I think this is one of his nicer styles. You are right, some of his knives are a bit much.
This one you have has a "usable" blade design.
What are you supposed to do with this thing?

Gil Hibben Silver Shadow Knife Damascus, this one looks pretty nice. I just wish it said where it was made. It's on the Budk website. They advertise here so I hope that it is alright to mention them.
Re: Gil Hibben knives
Cat Avenger, i have one of those in my collection. i really like it, it is a nice knife. nice weight to the handle. The button on the sheath is tearin up on mine is only complaint i could have.

Re: Gil Hibben knives
Just curious whether that knife is made in the U.S.A. or not
Re: Gil Hibben knives
mine is. it's a good bit older. my dad found it at a used junk auction. i believe the hibben series is made in usa. even the united cutlery has their stuff marked usa (have a skull push daggar marked united cutlery). i'd make def. sure that hibben hasn't followed in buck's footsteps though. i'd hate to be thinking i was getting a collectible and plainly marked on the blade it says that it's not.

Re: Gil Hibben knives
Some of the newer ones are now made in China (what isn't. ) The damascus one is higher grade so may still be made in the U.S.A.
