PISSED about shipping

i got a knife in friday, i paid 6.00 for shipping and insurance the knife came in a brown envolope wrapped in a paper towel. no insurance!! the cost to ship??? .83 cents. @#^%$&*&)&^%$ left negitive feed back which is usless on ebay. thanks for letting me vent feel free to move to off topic but it was a vintage auto :twisted: :?: :twisted: :twisted:

Ya, I guess that happens all the time. Some people just have a standard shipping charge. I paid $10 once and it only cost $6 to ship, he made another $4. :(

average shipping cost for priorty mail is $3.85 and they give you a box a VHS tape will fit in. just another way to make a few extra dollars on us!

the knives i ship go insured and the cost is 4.80 never charged more than that i guess thats why i'm mad

forget about the insurance if your using the mail on an auto, if you try to make a claim you may be sorry!

Most of the folks on da Bay have standard shipping. $5.00, $8.00 or $10.00, one guy I bought a Randal from had $12.00. I figure that this is just fluff of the top.

You don't have to make a claim on it. If the package is lost you go to the post office/courier place and give them your recpit, they confrim it say it was a manual knife and give you the insured money.

True enough, the 'Bay is a blessing and a curse. I recently picked up a Colt M-16-K on there for a great price- $40 -BUT the shipping was a bloated $9.00, so all told it was about the same as winning a $46 auction with $3 shipping, I figure.

I try to just look at total cost and compare it with other opportunities to calibrate the rip-o-meter.

The [U.S.] post Office will even give you free priority tape.
