Greyblade,

I suspect your emphasis is on the "stabilized" part of the honey horn. How about doing it in Damascus?

Jim,

An 11-inch swing guard damascus kriss (this may be an impossible blade to fabricate on any scale - that's just a guess) with stablized honey horn or french point scales, brass liners, and nickel-silver bolsters, button, and guards would be a truly awe-inspiring piece to own. If it can be done, I'm most definitely in. I can just see myself now with such a knife - sitting on the porch in a rocking chair whittling away with my swing guard kriss. Well howdy!

Soooo..., are we actually getting closer to, or further from a forum knife here? I'm not intending to pressure anybody (with my vast and impressive forum powers ); it is just that some of you have been through this before so know more about the pitfalls, ambushes, detours, hazards, etc... on this path. I am merely curious (perhaps a bit impatient, but it is under control, really it is).

this could take years ratz!

i'm thinking it will probably be a bust - as we haven't even heard from some of the more vocal members, not to mention 20 votes!?!?

you'd think we would hear from our illustrious leader mr arthas to hear his opinion on this, as we would most certainly have his fine craftsmen produce our knife!

Hey Mr. BIGG,
I'm all for a forum Stiletto since I never even looked at the imitation horn thread till it was to late and missed out on the IHT blade.
I would like the Classic Stiletto, 11" with the same blade as the IHT blade only change the scales. Why have any other kind when there
might be more in the years to come and your looking at a set. By the way, can any more IHTs be made for the members that were here
when it was decided to make one.

Benny,

Roger that!

Mr. Arthas,

So what's the next step for us to bring the knife to reality?

I also would like the classic 11" picklock with bayonet blade and maybe Talkblade, or someting similar, etched on the blade.

We have a much better chance IF we stay with something AB/SKB already makes!!!!! [That means no picklocks and no swing Kris]. That leaves [another] Stiletto, a Leverlock, a New Age, a Front opening, etc.

should we start another poll w/ ab/skm choices only? Maybe thatll help us make a decision.

All,

I suggest that we take a new poll and use the choices as articulated by Vagrant, but have subchoices for the stiletto of 11" or 13" and bayonet blade or kriss blade. For all knife types, the poll should include a choice of damascus or stainless blade and the scale material. For the scale choices, I suggest dark horn, light horn, and stag.

I agree most heartily with Vagrant that the best way to actually see a forum knife through is to select a type already available from AB/SKM. I also agree that whatever blade is chosen should have a unique tang mark and/or the forum name etched/engraved on it.

After finally receiving my IHT knives and seeing the build quality and packaging, I'm confident that whatyever we choose we won't be disappointed. The IHT knives are an indication and tribute to what the boys in Maniago can do if they want to.

What do the rest of you think?
