New to this great forum
Hi Members...
I found this forum a couple of months ago, and was pleasantly surprised that there are a lot
of people out there that share my fascination with autos.
And what a knowledgable bunch of guys you are!
I decided to join the group so I could learn more and become a better collector.
I live in Sweden where not many people collect autos... Or am I wrong?
Like many of you I have been interested in knives for many years now. My first automatic was bought
during a schooltrip to Hamburg, Germany, back in 1969. A very nice 6 3/4" Italian stiletto with bayo
blade and dark horn scales, button o/c, tangstamp Rostfrei/Patent. Still in my posession and still
my favorite.
Then it took some 30(!) years to get the second auto. A white acrylic 8" Italian stiletto with
standard blade. No tang stamp.
A few months ago I found Armando Beltrames site and bought no 3: A 9" Italian stiletto with
beautiful Briarwood scales and ATS-34 blade (thanks for the tip! Mr Vagrant). And this one really
got me hooked.
Can´t wait for my next. Planning to order a Mikov from Tanto.
And then a Bill DeShivs leverletto. And then...
Just have to compensate for the lost 30 years...
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello
Sorry for my not so good english
Thanks!
Lars

Huge thanks for this very nice welcome!
And sorry for first posting in the wrong section!
Feels like kind of coming home.
Also feels like I know a lot of you great guys already, cause I have been spending many hours
reading through earlier posts (have reached page 53 in the Swichblad Knives section) before joining.
And to eastcoastsnapper who wrote:

The sad answer is that they are banned here. too.
(I sure was swetting when as a 15 year old kid should bring home my first one from Germany)
All the best!
