im just fulla ideas today! why not take a walk in the woods? i could go right out behind my house and get several oaks, walnut, hickory...branches lying all over the place.junior wrote:i dont know, probably maple, its just the most available hardwood, i work shipping and recieving and always have these hardwood skids on hand, i know it sucks, but again i work shipping an recieving so you can imagine i dont make very much and its hard to justify spending money on rare or costly materials for a hobby ive just started. by the way is the channel width for these leverlettos 5/16 like the mikovs

Re: Kits
my opinion on stilettos as far as kits go,you may want to try buying a low cost italian stileletto with acrylic scales and pulling it apart and customizing it to your taste,Ive done it and its easier than searching for kit plus you get the idea of the inner workings as you take it apart.
Re: Kits
the best way to remove the pins is to drill out the bottom bolster pin then the knife will slide apart, drill the pins you want to remove from the inside and theyll push right out, dont touch the pivot pin at all unless its absolutley neccessery.

Mr. Junior, junior wrote:can anybody actually get those magic knife kits
I think you would be sadly disappointed iff'n you did...
The last ones I bought (a few years ago) were made in China, even though the package said "Made in Italy." They were total JUNK!
The original ones that actually were made in Italy were pretty neat little knives...

Ever notice Bevis and Butthead look a whole lot like
Bill Clinton and Al Gore,
I checked the other day and leverletto kits have gone
from $38 to $50, is this what Steve Miller meant when he sang"your cash ain't nuthin but trash!)
