The Range

Post by Bonzo »

Ladies, Fish, and Gentlemen,

Just got my membership renewal notice from my local gun range. $10 a year for all the blasting I want to do, hand gun range, rifle range, skeet, plus bring all the guests I want.

Do you think I'm being hoodwinked?

Best regards,

Bonz

My range allows handguns, rifles, shotguns,BB guns, and Archery for the low, low, cost of $120.00 per year and a $200.00 initiation fee, what a bargain!

Mr. Hollowdweller,

I keep missing the house, but sometimes I go out back and harvest ground squirrels for the local raven population with my 10-22. I try to keep it down to a dull roar around the property. Those pics you recall is up in the high country around 7,000 ft. elevation about 20 miles from the Doofus Compound. The roads usually clear about the beginning of June.

Mr. Butch,

I was only kidding, but some of the members got really bent out of shape when the membership was raised from $7 about 5 years ago. The big complaint was the other gun range is free. Yeah, well that free range is under 8 feet of snow right now as well.

Best regards,

Bonz

i know what you mean, the range here is free but its also under snow you can still shoot but walking 100 yards to and from the target to check your bullet grouping in 2 feet of snow gets exhausting.

Missa Bonz,
Took kid 2 to the range for her first time last weekend as you know.
Cost me 38.00 for a hour of shooting time.... Plus 200 rounds of .22
Worth every penny :D
But we were limited to 23 yards which she did not seem to find much of a challange....

I bought a bullet trap so that I could shoot indoors at my business property.

A couple of times I forgot to put my ear protectors on before firing my 10mm Colt Delta Elite - there was a ringing in my head for about 3 days after.

Raises a lot of dust too. :?
I collect springblades but I carry my "thumbers."

If anyone was so inclined, search on the US patent office web site and
they have plenty of plans for bullet traps.

A few years ago I built one (for .22 only) and attached it on the
end of my garage for indoor plinking. My "indoor range" is 60 ft.
