I remember that one from 1966, carried it for two months during basic training at Fort Hood Texas, wish I had that same one today!

I still laugh when I see the soldier mopping up rain
My brother was in the CORPS and he said they can get very creative when guys screw up.
One story he told me they had a dump truck sized gravel pile all by itself and every now and then someone had to use a shovel and wheel barrow to move it "over there"....depending on how bad he screwed up he may even have to move it back.

Some other great stories- He said when everything was going well they got to go watch a baseball game, when they got there they had to stand with backs to the playing field during the whole game
Back then I guess they were allowed to smoke- All the smokers stood at attention and the Drill Instructor would yell "Light" and then yell "inhale" "exhale" and so on and those that didn't smoke had chewing gum and he would yell "chew" "unchew" oh man I was in tears when he told me that one.
