Years ago an Italian buddy told me about the gesture of putting one hand near the elbow and making a fist with the other is basically telling someone to "go screw their self"
(like they do at the end of the video)

Way back in high school my English teacher told us about her travels and how very careful one must be in when visiting certain countries.
Maybe some of our Italian friends can be more specific but when ordering food or anything for that matter in Italy some of our everyday gestures may offend. Such as the "OK" gesture.

Same goes for some places in the Middle East. Soldiers are told to be careful not to show the soles of their boots. Not sure what it means but it's not good.

I was surprised to see Wiki had a list of gestures. Some interesting facts in here- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_gestures

The 'o.k." gesture could be mistaken for similar gesture with all fingers curled, which in Germany means a**hole, and gets you a serious fine if you do it, to another driver, on the autobahn
Sole of the feet/shoes are almost a univeral insult in the Islamic world, much worse than "mooning".
I'm clueless why :?
I'm surprized the "upper arm grasp" seems international [with slight variations in meaning]
