Hi All:
This is my first post so I thank you all for taking a look at this dagger. It has markings that indicated the guard and handle are Austro Hungarian and was made in 1817. There is also a mark that was used for ecclesiastical pieces. The handle is mother of pearl. My question is, was this a sword that was cut down? What would the church use a dagger for? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
