Though I haven't had to replace one yet, I've heard that is another plus for Mikov's is the ease of changing the spring. Apparently they take only minutes to change.

Pvknife carries them as well, but I think it's more expensive through them.

I've got a couple from about two yrs ago , single springs.

so I'd say the change was in the last year or so.

Somewhat substandard too, I'm told, but I hear their "international shipping" is excellent .

My uncle has never had an issue with PVknife. They replace and refund with no hassle at all if you end up getting a crappy knife. Their customer service rocks, which is worth the extra dime to me.

I sent Josh a few e-mails about ordering knives a year ago.........still waiting for a reply.

I thought where he lived close by , it would be convenient to do business with him.

guess not.

I think I got your e-mail. Please e-mail me once again how many sets do you need.

I do not like it either but there is nothing I can do. They changed it about a year ago. The fact is - the double springs do not break that often - but the old ones were not so bad either...

Can somebody post a picture of one? I have a number of Mikov's but none with the double spring.

What exactly is the rationale behind the change ?
