Ethan 1953 Italy

Post by johns7076 »

Found this on ebay, needs work, spring, bolster. First one I have ever had the opportunity to own. From what I have found in Switchblades of Italy and online Ethan was an importer in NY and the knife may have been made by Latama. Any info will be appreciated.

It’s worth restoring.

I would restore that in a heartbeat! If you could find someone (hint: to you-know-who). This would be an excellent project for our Master Cutler.

I know that he has been awfully busy, but you can always ask.

After a lot of thought it will not be restored by me. Probably just put it back on ebay or some other site as is.

I believe Ethan was an import by Latama, but remember, Latama was/is not a knife maker. Just importer.
