Re: B Rostfrei
I've copied and pasted this info to use in various places time after time, thanks to our long time friend and member John. It's the one I've gone by.
Here’s Frank’s timeline for stamps:
1960-70 BV&F was used by Frank's father
Before 1996 Frank's old tang stamp was lower case b (capital letter "B" was used by Renzo B)
1996 to 2004 Frank used Stiletto Italy (AB Cutlery in 1996 also used Stiletto Italy. So, it is difficult to know for sure for 3-4 years)
2003-2004 Frank started using Frank B
Your knife might be made by Renzo Beltrame

nice B you have there, and thanks for the stamp info John & Chris.
Re: B Rostfrei
Doing some research recently I found this extensive article about the Beltrames. I don't know how accurate all the info is, but the writer seems to know a lot about the family and their business. The article says that the capitol "B Rostfrei" marked knives are fake.
It would be nice to have a verifiable source. Ivano Beltrame (Franks son) was a member here for awhile. If he ever comes back I'd like to ask him to review this article for accuracy. I can't remember if this info was ever posted on the old Frank Beltrame website.

I asked Frank Beltrame for a time line of his family’s stamps and either Frank or his daughter Sara Beltrame e-mailed me the information above.JulesVane wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 2:07 am I've copied and pasted this info to use in various places time after time, thanks to our long time friend and member John.
