No tang stamp???

Post by skirmish »

I have a few picklock stilettos , in my collection, that do not have a tang stamp. The are quite obviously very old and hand made, of excellent quality. I’ve heard other collectors say, that these are salesman’s samples, or that the were not made for export, thus there were left unstamped. Anybody know for sure. Thanks, skirmish

The blades look so good. Are you sure that they have not been replaced?
I notice that one has a brass pivot pin. I am not knocking them. They sure are beauties! BTW, your photography is most excellent.
