I ordered an auto stiletto

Post by Snickers »

It's for $20 from SwordsSwords.com. I bought it really for one reason. To compare it to my $70 auto stiletto from Armando Beltrame via BladesHQ.

It looks really cool and hopefully built good. I guess I'll soon find out.

Thinking you'll see a big difference, wonder how many they sold for $49.99. If you want some nice autos on the cheap find you some Ganzos!

I don't think they were really $49.99 knives. That's to make you think you're getting a bargain.

We'll find out shall we? It's in shipment.

You'll like the Italian for your collection, the other one should be o k for a knock around knife. At least if you get a knife from blade HQ that your not happy with you can return it for replacement or refund. Sometimes the quality control on some of the Italians can be lacking. Let us know when you get them.

There is a huge variety of cheap Chinese knives out there. This "Milano" is probably made in China while the original Milano was made in Taiwan. One set of Chinese stealing from another.

I'm sure they are Chinese made stilettos. The $70 stiletto I have is the real Italian made knife but what I don't like about it is the thin brass liners. It's more a show and tell piece rather than a carry piece.

Aside from the 9" ATS-34 bladed flatgrind, I'd say almost no Italian Stiletto is a useful carry piece. There are lots of Italian knives that are good for carry, such as the Leverletto, but just not the classic stiletto. Great looking Italian design, they seem to strike a cord which is why we collect them.

It came in today. Makes me glad my $70 stiletto is well worth it. The $20 Chinese stiletto is pretty crude but it works though.
