new Frosolone

Post by portlandmike »

I got my first Frosolone today... I had no idea it was such a big knife... it's a 10" but much thicker than standard stiletto. Very well made.
My pictures don't do it justice

btw... anybody ever figure out a way to close a picklock one handed?

Mike

almost forgot ... Thank you Bernie (FOLGORE)

It's a beauty Mike! The Frosolone style took a while for me to love, but I sure do!

Mike, if you find out, or figure out, how to close a picklock one-handed...I ask, no I IMPLORE you to PM me, please? I have the most difficult time picking my new AGA C. 11" Frosolone. I managed it twice, nearly cut myself, then put it away...LOL!!

You really have a goddess-of-a-Frosolone...great catch!!!

I am certain that it is the resistance of a 4MM backspring, giving us sore thumbs, and a headache with picking this knife. (I'm not saying it's a faulty design, but I am looking for a better way to pick it.)

I love the horn on your frosolone! Is it blonde horn? Mine is ebony wood (I wanted a little diversity in my collection, but I have noticed that it's a soft wood. Consider that, before you buy a knife with ebony scales!) :D

It was my impression, just as it was yours, that this frosolone is really beefy in breadth and width...It has a nice weight to it! My thumbs were very sore from playing with mine, too!

It LOOKS like there is a gap near the liner in the last photo, but it's just the lighting. I LOVE the design on the pick tab!!!
:D
