ALAMO ITALY Stiletto
Does anyone know anything about stilettos stamped ALAMO ITALY? Just curious about what Alamo was, and when they existed. (Not very long, because there’s no info on them). Did they make their own knives, or did someone else do it for them? (And they merely stamped it with their Alamo Italy brand on it)
The knife I have is a 13” stiletto, 5mm blade, dark horn picklock. It has a very tiny and very deep “MADE ITALY” on the front tang of the blade, and a lightly stamped “ALAMO ITALY” on the reverse. It’s almost like new; well made - no gaps and straight.
I’ve only found where someone said he got his in 1956 or thereabouts.
Thanks for any info you can share, and hoping Bill DeShivs might provide some insight on it.

Re: ALAMO ITALY Stiletto
Alamo was obviously a US importer. Therefore, the knife was made between 1948-1958.

Sounds like a great knife. Keep digging. Who knows what you might come up with. Sorry I can't add anything to your search.

Wicked cool stiletto. It has all of the classics characteristics of a 1950s Italian picklock.

Your Alamo is beautiful. Like it was made today.
Here are some of the Alamo stamped knives that I owned. There is not much info on the importer but I did hear that they were imported to the southwest.

Good looking group. Hard to beat the horn used on the scales for a lot of the older examples.
