I just ordered a Ganzo G719 SS Folding knife (auto)

Post by Fishtail Picklock »

While it is Made in China, the 440C 58Rc hardness 3.34" clip point blade knife seems as if it's a good one. For $18.32 + $.17 shipping, (yes, really) $18.49 total cost, the knife seems as if it's worth a gamble. I read several good reports of how well it functions. While I know that I shouldn't expect great things for such a low price, It thought it might just be worth the price. If it breaks in service, I'm not out much.

It is being sold by Fast Tech, of China.

I'll let you know what I think after it arrives.

The Ganzos are well-made knives, except they don't have safeties.

Thank you, sir!

You can't have it all, (but at least I'll have some).

I hope that it lasts... should it?

Again, thank you, sir! I would like to recommend such knives to the Forum members (as working knives).

This should appeal to real knife enthusiasts.

I took a look at it and it looks like a decent EDC.

I was impressed by the overall value offered by the knives. Most "plunge lock" autos of the Chinese variety are what I would consider "throw away" knives. (Knives that may last about a year, but will probably break, due to poor casting, heat treatment, etc.). The Ganzo line strikes me as possessing a higher level of quality. One that will see an increase in cost once their value has been realized.

Hi Fishtail,

Is this the model you purchased. The more I look at it the more I want one.

The rear scale is metal, and this model is heavy.
I gave one to Ms. Debbie to use as a utility knife.

That's the one! I chose the clip point for the utility of it all. Handsome, isn't it?

Nice looking, I have one on the way too! Amazon has them at about at a very reasonable price without the slow boat from China wait! I bought that one and the other model with scales on both sides after I saw the quality of the stilettos. The one with green scales was quite impressive too, sharper than the stiletto and a better snap. Kinda wish they were of a lesser quality then I might use them. Who knows how long we'll be able to get them this cheap! Some sellers on Amazon are asking $35 plus shipping.

If you're willing to wait, you can get them at nearly a 2 for the price of 1 from Fast Tech. This is the way to build up a, you can pull one from stock in the event one breaks. This is the day of inexpensive Chinese auto knives. We'll look back fondly on these days, and reminisce about the "days of yore".

Buy them while you can.

Hello fish,
Mine arrived s few days ago. I've been too busy to take a few photos. It's an awesome knife worth every penny.
Thank you, fish tail, for the recommendation.
I'll write more as soon as I can.

John:

How's the knife running for you? I am still waiting for mine and it's getting long. Any more input? Is it holding it's edge?
