Flash 07 otf
Hello all
Can anybody tell me about this otf knife .It came with a begon switch and another french otf marked PAT 79075.
The Flash is flimsy in construction and is acrylic all the way around. The bolster is plated and although metal its light ,possibly alluminium or zinc
The sticker reads Flash07 Creation E.R France..
It locks up as expected with play and has no blade marking.
Anyone know anything about them id love to know ,but are all french otfs this way, light and plastic scaled or is this a copy.
Any input welcomed.
Regards

Re: Flash 07 otf
Hello,
I haven't seen one of those before today. I have no idea how rare or how common those are. It could be that only a few survived because of their flimsy construction. Most OTF's have wiggly blades. You have to spend a decent amount of money for an OTF that has a tightly locking blade.

Thanks John and Sammy
I've only found one but of better bolster material i.e. nickel and swedge bladed, its a lot of money, but this is possibly a modern version.
I really like the styling but it could do with adding some weight in construction.
I'll post my other later ,it came with a nice mint begon swedge blade.

Couple of shots of the other French otf.
Its 7" and has a very good lock up and its razor sharp.
Aluminium body and acrylic scales, nice action ,wish it had mop scales or something natural,it would be a heftier piece.

Gravknife- your knife is Spanish. That model was sold in Germany by Bonsa as done of their "B&S" brands.

Thankyou Bill
That cutting is great,i couldnt find anything about them,im pleased they arent chinese copies and the Flash is growing on me,id love a heavy horn and steel with nickel bolster version.
Thanks again my freind for taking the time to help me.
Take Care
Bill Just took a better look at the cutting on my iPad rather than phone,it was 65 dollars then more than I paid now,if it says rare then it must be hard to find nowadays.
What a great magazine sheet to have some lovely knives on there ,thanks for sharing this.

$65.00 in 1980 dollars is about, $200.44 in 2016 dollars.
Between 1980 and 2016, the United States saw inflation at an average rate of 3.18% per year.

Thats some inflation rate!
Wasn't thinking how much it had gone up.
I missed a comma after 65 dollars,I only paid 40 Euro for it,it should have read it cost more then than I paid now.
Cheers mate

Inflation is scary! Didn't realize things were that bad. I'm 60 and started working in factory's
when I was 18 and I've noticed my money doesn't go as far as it used to but I didn't realize inflation was that much!!!

I think it is just under three percent (2.8 or something like that) right now. But I know what you mean, if the price on something has
NOT gone up, then the product you are buying is SMALLER at the same price. I swear the bag of chips has more air in it, then chips.
And I know my hands have not gotten any bigger the past ten years, but the "BIG MAC" looks so much smaller in my hands now.
I wish I bought/saved more Rizzy's, I wounder what the inflation rate is on those things?
