The blade looks cleaned nicely, but it also looks like someone ruined the handles. It looks like someone ground a bevel at the bottom edges of the handles where they meet the bolsters. In the before shots, it did not have the edges ground down. Not sure why someone would do that to a vintage knife??

It looks like someone ground a bevel at the bottom edges of the handles where they meet the bolsters. In the before shots, it did not have the edges ground down. Not sure why someone would do that to a vintage knife??
You're right; I wonder why they did that. I can see that the top front was sanded down because there was a large chip but I can't see what was srong with the bottom edges. Maybe it was something that we can't see from the pics.
