These knives are only meant for sticking, not slashing or chopping.
Again the design is for dispatching wounded game.

...Like the finishing blow to (I guess) the heart?

It's probably for the best they aren't autos as they must get pretty dirty/bloody pretty quick.

Shark 45 (Mark) from the old Blade Auction days had several of the Hubertus Pig Stickers for sale. They would start out very reasonable but were very desirable and I was always outbid.
Back then you could get one from 125 to 165 but now they are in the 200+ dollar range.
One thing that made the difference was the Hubies Mark was selling always seemed to have superb stag scales.

Linder makes a nice one- http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-GERMAN-LIND ... RTM1062688

I have dealt with this seller and he is "Top-Notch"

Funny you mention that Bill,I was going to say I thought they were made in Italy. Only a handful of Linders are made in Germany.
Even Puma has knives made in Spain and some lower-end stuff in China. Sad really, however the Italian made Linder pig sticker is of outstanding quality.

I love my Coricama! It's incredibly well made, sturdy, heavy, snap makes your arm move!

Hey micaela,

You're advertising a sale, and the last time I checked, about 30 seconds ago, you still only have 20 posts. You need another 5 to post sales. I hope you'll edit the link from your post, and maybe bring it back if you hit 25 posts. If you don't know how, or don't understand the rules, I'll do it myself.

Is posting a link to an auction a violation of TB regulations? He is not listing this in the buy/sell section.
