Frank B. switchblade style bottle opener

Post by Scotchman »

Hello everyone. I was considering getting a Frank B. Switchblade style bottle opener, and was hoping for some input from anyone that has one. Do they hold up well, or do they break easily? Thanks.

I wouldn't think they would hold up well with heavy use, just a novelty.

I don't know why they wouldn't hold up.

The stilettos all seem pretty flimsy to me, not a user. If your not opening bottles constantly it would last awhile bit using it as a screwdriver will break it down pretty quick. Buy one and find out, let is know how long it lasts.

I bought one for Charleen about 3-4 years ago and we ise it a lot to open beers and tonic water bottles and it has held up very well. I would buy another if this one ever fails.

I'm pretty sure they're made from a standard 9 inch stiletto with a screwdriver or bottle opener blade. Does anyone know for sure?
I think the bottle opener will work fine, but I don't think a screwdriver would last; I think it would break down rather quickly.

That's the way I see it. The ones I've seen are bottle cap screw driver, now if you had a blade to put in it?

I have screwdrivers , I just want it as an opener. I drink from cans and twist offs more and occasionally pop offs. Waiting for blade play to get in stock.

Thought it would make a nice piece to go with my two beautiful Frank B. knives.

The Switchblade blade bottle opener is a great way to ease into a conversation about switchblade knives. I'm sure you know many people that are still freaked out by them. I get the strangest looks from my friends when I take out my Switchblade for whatever reason. Then, I tell them I have a collection of knives. They find that ond too.

I was in a BigR store getting ammo yesterday and was looking at their display of Benchmade autos. Got in a conversation with a contractor about how expensive they were, i don't know whether if he was from Indiana but he didn't know they were illegal!

I really don't have many friends to show my knives off to, and there are certain other people I wouldn't, as they are shady. I've been ripped off and screwed over too many times.
