There is lots of modern damascus out there and not too expensive.
Check Ebay for Damascus knife blade. Most of it comes from India or Pakistan.

I like the pattern, the file work and blade profile.
The scales are a bit gaudy, but the ivory insert fits well.
Blade is dated 2011.
Someday I'd like to have real mother of pearl scales on it.
