Re: Advice on making spring

I have the old spring out. Just had to remove one pin. If I could make a proper spring it would be easy to install. I just need to duplicate the bends in the old spring, which I am having a hard time with.
Thanks

Advice on making spring

Hello, The spring broke in one of my Chinese clone stiletto's. I thought I would try to make a replacement. First try was to buy music wire in the approximate diameter, but it was so stiff and springy that I could not make the necessary bends. My next try will be to try drill rod and harden and temp...

Electronic sharpness tester

I apologize for a slight change of subject but related. Does anyone have any experience with the electronic sharpness testers? They appear to be a kitchen scale and measuring the pressure to cut a fine wire. Seems interesting and we could have a competition on who had the sharpest knives. But I am n...

Re: Show your Paper Wheel edges

Hello, I am curious about your fee. I realize it would depend upon the blade, but could you say for instance how much some of your posted work would be? I have a set of paper wheels and love them. I can get a great edge on any blade if it is profiled properly, but most blades have terrible profiles ...

Re: Missing a bolt

Hi,
The shop I worked in used 2-56. It was my job to drill/tap the rivet to accept the screw.
I would be glad to send a screw if you want to wait on mail. That knife is not one of the one's we did, so it might be different, but there are not many screw sizes that will fit a Buck rivet.

Re: My Ganzo G-7471-BK arrived today.

Merry Christmas,
I have bought Ganzo's three times from https://www.fasttech.com.
Best prices that I have found. Shipping takes a little longer. All of my Ganzo's seem to get away from me as gifts.

No, no, no. The damage is trivial. I shall keep the book. Your offer is very kind, though.
I do like the book.

Re: NEW Italian Switchblade book!

I ordered Tues and received today, Fri. It is a beautiful book. Very high class. Have just flipped through so far, but Intend to read all the English words. One little gripe, the book was double wrapped with balloon wrap and in a padded envelope and UPS still managed to wrinkle one corner of the boo...

Re: Leather inside the pocket sheath

IMG_20180929_161441[1].jpg Got mine today! It's great. Works well for my 11" like I requested. For curiosity, I tried a 13". And it worked nicely for that also. Need pretty big pockets and might not work with tight jeans, but I can actually comfortably carry a 13" stilletto. I also liked that the k...
