Re: Rizzy Confusion...
They are both legit. The one on the left is likely from the 1960s and the other one was probably made in the 1970s. Although some collectors are critical of these knives because they are cheaply made, they are old enough now that there is a high interest in them. The Rizzuto was in many movies and ...

Was there an issue on All About Pocket Knives as well? I noticed he does not have an account there anymore.

Gunbroker is another site if you are wanting to auction them. Sorry for the loss of your father and he had a nice collection.

Re: Few transitionals
Nice and those early 1960s knives are comparable in quality to the picklocks from the 1950s. I wish they would make them of that quality again.

Re: PVK Vegas Review
I haven't bought anything from them since they moved from Las Vegas but I have made many purchases in the past, mostly Microtechs and Pro-Techs, and never had any issues. I just looked at their site and noticed they raised the prices for Frank B stilettos. However, everything seems to have gone up i...

Re: unknown springer shell puller.
sharpy I think what you paid is about right for these ,as Panzerfaust said these are now pretty iconic with the Godzilla label,I really like them they have character. Panzerfaust Yours is very much like mine ,I'm still confused on them as I havn't seen comparable original German Bazar examples to c...

Re: unknown springer shell puller.
Here is my Bazar springer that was repaired by Bill about 12 years ago. When I first posted this on the Sharper Deals forum, someone commented it may be Japanese. The font of the SPRINGER stamp is different than any I have seen on German knives and the scales are a little different. If it is German,...

Re: unknown springer shell puller.
sharpy A knife like yours was seen in an underwater scene in an old "Godzilla "movie ,there was a topic on it here. As Bill said the shellpullers dont fit any shells ,just copied from the german examples but I really like these knives and the other swutches the Japanese produced .. .. The example I...

Re: Otter-Hubertus springers
I like the larger top one. I had heard about issues at first too. Never handled one yet. I am pleased with them. I wish they would put the hole back on the lever because that's the way they were previously made but I can live with it. The big question is how long will the kick springs last? I espec...

Otter-Hubertus springers
These are my Otter-made Hubertus springers. I have heard complaints about these knives, mostly about the early production models, but having owned a Hubertus lever-lock since 1985, these are comparable in quality and the fit and finish is better than on many of the late-production Hubertus knives I ...

Re: Otter-Hubertus shellpuller
As time passes Otter is reproducing more and more of Hubertus' classic designs. Early examples had one piece springs, release levers without the hole, plain bolsters without the lines, stainless liners, ect. Late offerings are reverting back to the triditionall designs. But in the end wouldn't you ...
