I just recently purchased one. I like the looks of the knife. However it does not always cycle to lock. This is a minor annoyance. It is sill nice for display.

They're called guards. In this discussion previously they were addressing the same thing..re:thorn. I don't know but it seems logical. I own a thorn in stag and a stiletto in dark horn. These are fine really well made knives. However they are so heavy I don't think they are an edc kind of thing.

I have a whole bunch of kids and grandkids so that's my excuse...How about "How The Grinch stole Christmas"? At the end of the movie Grinch uses a very large Kris switchblade to carve the roast beast.

I have the mini bodyguard and a fingerling. Both are strong little knives. I carry the mini all the time. The fingerling I purchased in Ketchum Idaho for an out-landish price but still appreciate it.
