Re: Virginia trap-door OTF Stiletto
I imagine the Virginia OTF has the dual springs inside....one for activation and one for retraction. Here are a couple pics of the internals of one of these. If you have a smaller monitor (not widescreen) you may need to widen your browser window to see these pics in their entirety. They were taken...

Re: Virginia trap-door OTF Stiletto
I'm sure there are more out there, but I know of only two (now three ). One of which has been rescaled with wood though.morrissey wrote:Are there many of these out there in the collector market?

Re: Anyone have info on these two Rizzutos
Nice Rizzies! Honestly though, they look like they aren't altogether original to me. Not saying anyone could know for sure, but the dark scaled one looks like a standard Japanese Rizzy; but those guards were only on the wasp-waisted variations. Pretty good chance the guards are from a different knif...

OP added spam links to his original post. I guess he wasn't really interested in our advice after all.

Re: the NEW TANG STAMP OF ITALY: Superior
I don't care for the blade stamp either. Sometimes less is more, and those big gothic letters are too much. Those scales look beautiful though. I'd love to see some flat-grind/swedge blades on these too. I'm a bit confused about the way Andrea is referring to the whole "Superior" thing though. Is th...

Re: 70's - 80's Keychain Switchblade Pens in Original Packag
The ones I just bought from Rob have a patent number on the spine. Here is what I found when I googled the patent number: http://www.google.com/patents?id=giQ6AAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4#v=onepage&q&f=false 8) Check out those diagrams! Thanks Panzer. It looks like they made a set of mini swit...

Re: 70's - 80's Keychain Switchblade Pens in Original Packag
I've got a set of these too. My favorite is the roach clips, but I think the hardest to find was the coke spoon. There is actually a non-locking version of the mini pen as well. It's basically the same, but a little bigger and it doesn't have the locktab. I had one a couple years back but I sold it....

Re: Japanese shellpuller
Jim- Look at the bone jigging and coloration. The Japanese never got either of those right. One of these is used in the original "Godzilla" movie, toward the end, in an underwater scene. Bill, I have not seen "Godzilla" since I was a kid, but BTB had that scene in his "Switchblades in the Movies" c...

Re: Hellraiser
Turns out its not a hellraiser. It is a nice fixed-bolster Spanish stiletto though. I agree with Belmont's assessment of the pricing. $490robcelani wrote:Where is the listing?Belmont800 wrote:There is one floating out there in cyberspace for sale ... Its WAYYYY overpriced however IMHO.

Re: Hellraiser
Sold one to BTB awhile back, I doubt he would be willing to sell it but it never hurts to ask. You are correct, I will probably not be selling mine. Someone would have to make a huge offer to convince me to let go of it. There is one floating out there in cyberspace for sale ... Its WAYYYY overpric...
