Re: a funny thing happened at a flea

I think it's funny when people who don't know try and tell us that we don't know. They have no idea how obsessed we are with the knives and their history. Im such a geek about these knives.

Re: Movie Switchblades

Not sure if this was mentioned. Just sat through REFORM SCHOOL GIRLS in hopes of seeing some good old vintage teenage exploitation with switchblades. The movie was laughable, real Mystery Science Theater type material. Towards the end, however, there's a scene where the leading bad guy pulls what lo...

Re: Movie Switchblades

Since I haven't started going through 92 pages of responses I was wondering if anyone mentioned the show from the 60's Garrison's Gorillas. There was a character named Chief that always used switchblades. There's episodes on YouTube. This one episode (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1af_WZ0J4FU ) at ...

WOW Marko! I only have an American collection of 8. You're my hero! Amazing collection! Is one of those yellow bow ties a manual opener?

Re: First nice knife

Ha! This reminds me of the post I made a while ago saying that I never see any OTF knives that are nice looking. Then you guys started posting pix of these outrageously gorgeous OTF's that were expensive as hell! You made a convert out of me but I still think you're gonna break the bank if you want ...

Re: It's oiling time!

Beautiful display cases! I had mine in cheap display cases (more like shadow boxes) but I wasn't content just having them on my wall. I wanted to play with them every once in a while. :) I put some in this knife wrap, but I know I store them incorrectly.

Re: Blade peek..?

Is it more common in bo/bc knives? I've never had blade peak with stiletto swivel bolster or picklocks.

Re: It's oiling time!

Thanks! It's just a part of the collection. I think I have about 60 now. I'm still up in the air as to whether I should store open or closed. I think we may be split here in opinions. Anyway, I get great satisfaction picking each one up and oiling it, firing it, closing, firing again. Yes, I'm as ob...

Re: It's oiling time!

You mean the stag? If so it's probably my stag shell puller. I have several lever locks but none of them have a swing guard.

It's oiling time!

I definitely need something better to store my knives in, especially the rare ones. This is just some of my collection I pulled out to oil and clean.
Just wanted to share this sight.

Bug Bites?

In the auctions, when they say the scales have a bug bite is a just an expression for a chip or has it actually been chewed on?
