Re: Superior Italy b/w cow horn plain blade

Wow, did you make that? (I'm new to the forum) If you did make it, did you just replace the scales with the cow horn? I have a few old /junk knifes I would like to play around with and try my hand at repairing /restoring them for practice. I have a old italian lock blade that has a cracked horn hand...

Help with info on old folder knife

Hello,
Can some one please tell me any info on this knife? I found this when I was a young lad in a forest preserve back in the 1970s.
Any info at all ( brand / age / what the handle is made from ect) would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance!!

Red dot safety, what is your opinion?

Hello, I'm not trying to insult any one who manufactures or owns a stiletto with a red dot on the safety, but to me it is like a sacrilege taking some red paint and putting it on a nice blonde or dark horn or any nice looking scale for that mater (just my personal opinion). Having said that, does an...

Re: Remains of a Hammer Brand Switchblade.

Hi,
I picked one up at a flea market this fall, the guy had it marked for $28.00 I asked if he would take $15.00 he said $20.00 so I bought it, not sure if I over paid. I took it to my buffer and it came out pretty good (pictures are not that great) see the before / after.

Re: Need Help on Flea Market Find

Big thanks to Bill DeShivs for I.D. my knife (sorry about the double post).
You can see what this knife looks like after I cleaned it up. Just do a search for " Make your own Knife buffer"

What is a Shell Puller used for?

Pardon my ignorance, I know what a "shell puller" bolster looks like. But were they designed for what the name implies, pulling shot gun shells out of a gun? Go ahead an laugh, I know some times I can be a "brain stem". Thanks for the answer in advance.

Make your own Knife buffer

Hello, Just some info if anyone is interested I had an old may tag washer bite the dust. The motor was still good, so I wired a plug and switch on it. Can you help I.D. this Knife?

It has wax and crud on the blade needs a good cleaning/polishing. The guy had it marked for $28.00 I asked if he would take $15.00 he said $20.00 so I ...

1966 Trapdoor stiletto

Hi Gang, I just stumbled across this site, and just joined. Sunday night I was watching an old episode of "I SPY" and saw a woman offing people with a switch blade that I had never seen before. So doing some research on the web (this is how I found you guys) I found out it is called a trap door stil...
