Re: Hair Trigger

No gunk in the hole. I cleaned it with a dental pick, still hair trigger. I'm thinking of trying to drill the hole a bit deeper; on closer examination I see that the end of the pin is cut at an angle. Is this normal?

Hair Trigger

I have an AIK customized fishtail with no safety. Aside from needing a popsicle stick to release the picklock because the tab is so small; the damned thing has a hair trigger; if you so much as look at it it fires.
Any relief to be had for this problem?

Re: Preserving Gutta Percha

You're welcome Jackalope!
If you decide to roll your own then Buffalo Arms would be the place to look for cases, lead etc. They are primarily BP oriented.
Be forewarned the shortage of pistol primers and powder are ridiculous at this time and price gouging on Gunbroker is positively insane.

This company will most likely have the proper .32 for your pistol.
He makes the obsolete ammo for my 1873 MAS 11mm Revolver.
He does good work and is easy to talk to.

Re: Preserving Gutta Percha

An Iver .32 is on my list of guns to collect.
Interesting that both R. Kennedy and Wm McKinley were both assassinated with Iver Johnson pistols.
They also make repro grips for these guns.

Re: Information About NATO Military OTF

The demon is a Japanese Oni. Why would a Japanese demon appear on a product made in Korea and destined for the USA? There has always been some degree of transfer between neighboring Asian cultures.... could this symbol be present in Korean culture also? Maybe brought from one country to the other? ...

Re: Quality

We will have to see if the next generation chooses to stay in the business once all the old artisans are gone, otherwise quality could tank again. Ultimately it depends on us to give them a reason not to move on. But letting knives slip through with major problems isn't a great way to keep people's...

Re: Ammo blues...

.30 is going in the neighborhood of a buck a round on Gunbroker. Those custom loads for my MAS are going to cost me about 3 bucks a round. Makes you think twice about having a casual afternoon at the range. Too damned cold to go to the rod and gun here these daze to shoot the 9 which we have plenty ...

Re: Ammo blues...

Very miserable. I needed to source cases for my MAS 11mm revolver (obsolete ammo) ; finally found some at Buffalo Arms. I wanted to buy 200 brass cases, they cost with shipping near to $200.00. I don't reload myself so I sent them out to Colorado Custom Cartridges and had a long chat with Bob the ow...
