Really nice!
Ivory scales are a nice touch.
If it was going to be used in a last ditch situation Rhino scales would be best.
Rhino horn gets sticky when it's wet and won't slip out of your grip.
Then again, no one can source Rhino horn these days.

Re: I find a nice looking knife...
I haven't had much trouble using a tapered round file.
I've had this Boker since the mid 90's; it came in handy when I was painting houses, especially when you're 30 feet up on an extension ladder.

Re: Coyotes
Around 20 years ago we had no coyotes on Cape Cod.
Then they figured out what our two bridges over the canal were for.

Re: My daggers
Those are wicked nice Twobit. the Hibben is very classy.
Is it okay if I add a few of my own from across the pond?
They're kind of shabby compared to the ones you have plus they're used.

Coyotes
I hate Coyotes. Did I say I hate Coyotes? Yeah, I did. It's almost midnight here on the east coast; we have a new puppy 9 months old and it was time to take her out to do her business before bed because she isn't housebroken yet. It's cold here by the shore and I'm walking the dog around the ...

Re: I need help identifying and aging a Stiletto.
Funny, that's how I got my 28cm Eig. I walk every day with a retired officer of the court who also dealt with problematic kids at the high school. He confiscated it back in the early 70's and it was gathering dust in his junk drawer. He mentioned it one day and I made him a generous offer (he was go...

Re: Michele Fraraccio of Frosolone
I'm assuming so twobit; but you know what they say about assuming. I also ordered the 32cm with steel bolsters and no bail; it's going to run me about a C note, but then I'll have an example of a low end price and a high end price from the maker. That one is coming from the old country so it ...

Re: Michele Fraraccio of Frosolone
Perry Knifeworks sold me the one I got, but Perry seems to be very low or out of stock on many items in their catalog.
These are also listed on ebay by Il Casale del Sole try a search there too.
Sorry about the double post.

Re: Michele Fraraccio of Frosolone
I got mine from Perry Knifeworks out of Acushnet Mass. I have seen them also on ebay although the prices there seem a bit higher than Perry's site, many of the models at Perry seem to be out of stock . It may be that Fraraccio is selling through ebay also. Perry's site seems to be out of stock on ma...

Re: Michele Fraraccio of Frosolone
Well, it arrived and is a nice little knife, good strong spring, and good-looking horn like the picture shows. Opens and closes with a nice strong snap. An affordable price, hand made , no play side to side or up and down. The horn scales are good looking but are very slightly cupped; I guess I'll s...

Re: Michele Fraraccio of Frosolone
Well, I ordered one.
At $13.95 it certainly won't be a budget buster.
I'll post about it when it arrives .

Does anyone have any thoughts on this knife maker?
His prices seem pretty reasonable.
How is the quality and workmanship?

Who Makes the Fishtails ?
I have a couple that I have purchased, both picklocks. Who makes these? The mark on the blade says only Stiletto Italy. I like these knives, but the tab you use to release the spring is wicked narrow. I can't release the blade from open without mechanical aid i.e. a popsicle stick; if the tab was wi...
