Otter-Hubertus shellpuller

Has anyone seen these? They are not listed on the Otter Messer website but apparently they are making these because there is a seller on All About Pocket Knives who has them.

Re: New Hubertus

Glad to read that it is well made. Bill D disassembled one shortly after the Otter produced models became available and noted the one piece backspring / kickspring. I read later that Otter was moving to the traditional 2 piece design. What does yours have? Thanks, Jim I read Bill's posts and at fir...

New Hubertus

I bought this "lilliput" Hubertus made by Otter Messer at a gun show last weekend. It was not a good deal but I at least saved shipping charges from buying one online. Overall, I am impressed. The fit and finish is better than the knives that were made by Hubertus and the edge is sharper. Only time ...

Re: Latama's New Offerings

I have many modern standard production Italian stilettos but I have no interest in the overpriced custom knives. I could buy a decent 1950s picklock for the same price or less. To each their own, but the modern "Latamas" made by Frank Beltrame are of no interest to me.

Re: Rizzuto picklock

This one is well made and has a really tight back spring. I've noticed JPLs often have week back springs and I also bought an 11 incher that is almost mint except for the weak back spring. I'm guessing the Rizzuto picklocks were made late 50s or early 60s?

I believe that is a pre-1954 New York City importer.

These smaller ones do seem harder to find and most of the ones I have seen have been sharpened probably because it's a good size for EDC.

Rosco

I was pleased to get this 18 cm Rosco because not only was I wanting a Rosco but I especially was wanting an unsharpened 18 cm which I previously did not have.

Re: The first trickle from the hoard !!

. Your eyes are doing just fine..... an ordinary fridge magnet won't stick to the button; but a powerful rare earth magnet does. While nickel is very slightly magnetic, a tiny bit of it like this would not act that way. Everything points to stainless steel. The pivot pin attracts even a small, very...

Re: The first trickle from the hoard !!

You did well. That is an older swivel bolster with the rocker button assembly and is easily worth more than the $225 total you spent.
