spacer,

Thanks for the pictures. Even though there was no SKM booth, it is my understanding the Mr. Arthas would be attending. Did you see him?

Teddy,

I'm sorry to hear that they are getting rarer. Why is this?

Teddy,

I believe that you are right. Several months ago, we had an age poll. If my memory is correct, j-man was the youngest of at least what I consider to be contributing members. It is nice to have that youthful enthusiasm to keep us going!

Spotlight and Teddy, Even when the busty barmaid is not present I love the little pubs. The people are so nice and I always enjoy myself. Somehow, and I have no idea how  they know that I'm not local when I begin to speak with them. Inevitably, we discuss each others hometowns, families, homes,...

Teddy,

I have to agree with you about your pubs. When I am in the UK for work, I don't want to work, I want to go to the pubs. I much prefer the small town / rural pubs to those in downtown areas of big cities. The folks are much friendlier (just like in the US).

This is where we need confirmation from one of our experts. I strongly suspect that the issue is tooling. The shops are currently tooled to produce the knives that they do. I wonder if there is available tooling to make the "heavy duty" switchblades, or whether that tooling would have to be fabricat...

Fritz,

We have been asking for that. They would sell many, many, many of them.

missaman, After a good deal of experimentation, I settled on a mini-UDT and have been quite happy. It only weighs 1.9 oz. and has great snap for its size. They can be had for $60-70 from e-bay Funny thing happened at work yesterday. I was at my desk and really needed to fire a switchblade for therap...

Teddy,

You are right, of course. Having a truly fully lined swivel bolster would make operation a bit difficult.

missaman, Welcome to the forum! I noticed that you spelled your name differently in the preceding post, so I'm not sure what is right. You mention that you hail from "The land of pleasant living". Back in the 60's and 70's there was a beer brewed in Baltimore, Md. called "National". (During my colle...

My modern 15 inch and 6 1/4 inch stilettos are fully lined. It seems that the much more popular mid-sized ones are not lined. None of my 9, 11, or 13 inch stilettos are fully lined.
