I've heard good things about knifeshop.com
But was wondering if there are any other reliable dealers in Europe who sell Switblades?
Particularly looking for someone with a good AKC selection... if that's possible.

Re: Spanish stiletto's
No, like the one with the fixed guards. Bought the summer of 97 in Majorca. Was told Switchblades were illegal in Spain, i'd never find one.....but i randomly walked into a touristy shop and the guy in there had 2 or 3. I have this funny recollection that he had a Swinguard.......which was my first ...

Re: Spanish stiletto's
I used to have that exact same one with the black scales. Someone local begged me to sell it to them, and offered me good money for it, when i wanted the cash for something else.
It kicked like a mule.

Daltons tend to be associated with slightly overwound spings as well.

Re: Frank B front opener
Italian OTFS: Usually, either the stop pin wears out, or the stop pin wears through the handle.
For their price (on the Internet) i think you may as well spend the difference and buy an Ultratech.
The HK Epedemic seems to be getting good reivews too.

Re: Microtech Makora not being made anymore?
Even if it is, looking on one of the forums should yield with your looking for. Only so many autoknife dealers in MA so i can probably guess who it was. My favorite pocket knife of all time is the Microtech Amphibian and they have not been made for some time now. Luckily I bought one back around 05....

Re: Movie Switchblades
Just watching a low quality copy of MI:4 and i think there's a Daytona or Ultratech in it.
I'm certain i saw a dagger or spearpoint blade and a glassbreaker.

[quote="TMD"]Killer Elite 2011 Jason Statham uses a small stiletto (Bargeon?) to cut out a small pice of mosaic /quote] Clive Owen's character pull an Auto on the stereotypical old Arab guy at the end. I think it was a Halo, or a Halo KO? Which is kind of odd since the movie is set in the eighties.

Re: (GermanOTF) Böker Plus series
Apparently the name is Boker Survivor.
If the going rate is 110, i think i'd just cough up the extra for another Ultratech. Looking at the comparison between it and the UT, the handle looks......bulky.

Re: Dynamic Knife Designs
Are DKD still in business?
I could've sworn i heard they were out of action.... and that there were some 'issues' with the Swinguard which they weren't adressing bia after sales service.
Appologies if either of those are untrue.

Re: Bolser OPENING auto
I believe i saw a brass/rosewood 9 inch on Knifeshop recently, if people are having trouble finding them. I meant to ask about them myself, out of curisuosity, and the fact the it's not instantly obvious they're Autos. Were the ever made in any other sizes, handle styles, blade configurations. And w...

Re: Does anyone make an OTF knife with...
A possible caveat with longer or larger bladed DA OTFs is some are just slightly lacking in the spring power necessary to get the blade out reasonably quickly.
