There is a test video on Youtube and they cycled it over 160,000 times before a failure. I'd need joint replacement just trying to open and close it that many times. Real hearty knives.

Re: Ratworx Chain Drive
Thanks. That's interesting. Not too muck oil on that chain or it will just pick up lint(Gnur) from your pocket.

Re: Another addition to the "fantastic four".. beautiful old stag
On one of the Transitional I have, the manufacturer use 2 pins to secure the top of the reverse scale. This would take more time to construct, but the knife would be stronger.
Exumer, what are yours like? Any of them 2 pin type? The very top knife in this pic is from you.

Can you take some detail pics of the chain mechanism? Don't take it apart, just from the outside view.

Re: Expendable Eagle
I like it. I'll take stag any day. What you have created is a "Hunting Cutlass". Do a nice leather sheath for it and make a matching smaller paring knife to mount on/in the sheath.

If a Square Button is 5K, I could only imagine what one of these is worth.

Hello,
I won a bid for a knife on Gunbroker and the seller is Marivon Adams. None of my e-mails are going thru to him/her. Does anyone here know him/her and have a good e-mail.
Thanks
Bruce

Hey Bernie,
Nice new site. I'm registered. I'll take a peek in there every few days for the 13" stilettos I collect.

Orangeboy, you were spot on the money. The experts here just ginned the guy up to different hat size. Gave away years of experience and knowledge on the subject to be paid back with a $3500 start. I've only been here for a short while. First it was the holy grail froslone the guy found in a old hous...

My feelings too. The term is used quite loosely on sharperdeals auction site.
