Re: Movie Switchblades

Yes, agreed! But only the earlier, live action Disney. He competed with them during their rut. So, there's also a couple wacked out children/family movies in Adamson's collection. I haven't seen one yet. Not expecting benji. But if there's a rizzuto in one of these. Some rail hobo or something. I wi...

Re: Movie Switchblades

I just recently received a 32-film blu ray box set of the films of filmmaker AL Adamson. I've already seen more Rizzuto Estileto Milano switchblades featured in his filmography than any other filmmaker's resume I can think of on earth. From 7" to 11" And so far, always a rizzuto. In one title, "Sata...

Re: Was there a pic of a white NATO OTF with a scorpion on it?

Yes, I remember it. A crude-ish custom that was used as a prop in the 90's remake of 12 Angry Men. It was for sale for around $700. With some white paint and black fimo clay it could be copied fairly easily. Here's the link to that 12 Angry Men knife... http://www.thegoldencloset.com/merchant/mercha...

Re: Mini Rizzutos

They're so nice, those fake jigged bone ones. I'd love to see and own a 9 & 11. Never knew they existed. You learn things when you break the silence and speak. Long live the rizzuto jungle! My only remaining standard black 9" is marked Rostfrei under FES. A popular Asian and Italian product, German ...

Re: Mini Rizzutos

Hello JimBrown & Tryker! It's great to be posting and seeing you two, too! So that's where all the mini rizzutos have gone! Awesome collection, I've never seen that many at once. I've only run into one single 8" rizzuto style and it's a weird one. A penguin in a circle tang stamp and reddish brown j...

Re: Mini Rizzutos

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like them.
Chris51P, yes I've owned 4 or 5 of the lockback Rizzutos in different sizes, 7", 10" & 11". I only have 1 left, a very nice 11" with white scales. Those seem to have dried up as well. Haven't seen those available in a long time.

Mini Rizzutos

The recent attention to the tiny 6 1/4" swing guards from Italy got me thinking about the little Japanese copycats. I love these, haven't seen one for sale or trade in years. Here's some pics of the only 3 I acquired back in the day. The only one with a story is the yellowish, off white one. It was ...

Re: 9” Japanese Rizutto Estileto Milano estimated date range 1962-78

That's a beautiful 9" rizzuto! Just the way I like them. The guards give it away as being a heavier model. No doubt, a nicer steel rocker on that one. The guards got dainty and shorter on the lighter, cast pot metal rocker models.

Re: Vintage Swinguards

A beautiful set there! Very few of mine have made in italy. And a 9" stag is very hard to find! I have one super heavy, dark and bumpy one.
I've recently heard about a vintage Italian 5 1/2" size swing guard. Have you seen these? A standard 6 1/4" handle pattern with shorter blade?

Re: Wanted to buy swingers

Oh, I love the 11" IRN stamped swing guard! I could have sworn it had a gnarly, amber stag mate (not with that stamp, just same pattern and size). They all look perfect! When those things are made just right, the precision and solidity is just exciting. I do have a bunch of pics of my stuff. But all...

Re: Wanted to buy swingers

Oh, yes! Still love them. And still have the 60's Italian swing guards, too! But haven't added a new knife in a long, long time

Didn't you have a drool inducing stag 11" 60's swing guard?

Re: Wanted to buy swingers

The little horn one was interesting. Had a homiji stamp or something like that. I'll look for pics.
And I'm still around sometimes. And still have my favorite switchblades!

Re: Wanted to buy swingers

I had a 5 1/2" swingguard styled lock back stiletto in horn. It had the flat top bolster, but it never had actual guards, undrilled tang. I've never seen this size with swing guards. Love the 6 1/4"! But I've only seen those in stag. Good luck to you!
