Re: Isn't there an OTF with character?
Monkey, I've been wondering the same thing for years. I have an old Nato Military OTF that I've had since I was kid. It might be a rickety piece of junk...but it's probably the nicest looking OTF knife I've seen. I don't know why the new OTF knives look like ugly little boxes. You'd think that someo...

Wanted: Pacific Cutlery Balisong
I'm looking for a Pacific Cutlery Balisong. I believe it was made in the 80's. It's the model that Two Bit used in the movie The Outsiders. Here are a few photos of it... http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh284/CTone03/Guns%20in%20movies/The%20Outsiders/Baliflip.jpg http://i259.photobucket.com/albu...

Looking for my first Bali
I'd like to find and add my first Balisong to my collection. I bought it at a Flea Market in the early-mid 80's. It was stainless. There were no holes in the scales. Each scale had a recessed image of a Chinese Dragon. Does this sound familiar to any of you Balisong collectors?

Re: What kind of knives are these?
In the 80's I belonged to a knife collector's club. Some of you might remember The Edge Co. If you were a member you would receive a knife every month. This is one of the knives I got. It was made in Japan. I carried this knife for years. I even bought one for my father in law who still carries this...

Looking for an oldie
I bought my first balisong at a flea market in Miami circa 1984. It was stolen years ago but I still keep an eye out for another one. It was a cheapie... All metal, no holes in the scales. The scales had the inlay of a chinese dragon. Are any of you balisong collectors familar with this knife?

scratched up my OTF blade
I bought a green Nato Military OTF knife from my local military surplus store back in the late 80's. One day I grabbed my dad's sharpening stone and decided that I was going to put a razor sharp edge on it. We'll I'd never sharpened a knife before and I ended up scratching the blade all up. The scra...

Re: My new Shell Puller is getting stuck
Thanks viking, that seems to have worked. I worked in a little gun oil w/teflon and adjusted the way I was pushing the lever. I've fired it about 60 times with no issues.

My new Shell Puller is getting stuck
http://www.myswitchblade.com/v/vspfiles/photos/GOMSTAGSHOTPULLER-2.jpg I just picked up a Massaro Shell Puller from myswitchblade.com. Sometimes it doesn't open all the way. It seems to have some resistance around 11:00, that's where the blade is stopping. I can tell when I close it that there's a ...

Re: looking for my dad's old swinguard...
Thanks for the info, whippersnapper. I just talked to my sis and she remembers it having the ring on the back. Do you have any idea when the the Rizzutos were made? Any idea where I could pick one up? Thanks.

looking for my dad's old swinguard...
My dad kept a switchblade in his sock drawer. I used to pull it out and admire it when I was a kid. Sadly, my sister "borrowed" it one night and took it to a club where it was confiscated by a bouncer and never seen again (circa 1988). It was a swinguard with a black handle. I imagine it was made be...
