Hey Claudster:I truely cant say about the kissing cranes but many years ago I bought a pile of factory seconds to practice on, take apart, put new handles on, etc. and every knife the tang stamps were ground off so you couldnt tell who made the knifeIhope this helps

Hey fellas; I just got a digital camera for christmas, so I hope to take some pics of my babies and be able to post them soon. I am lookin at some of the collections here and I get a little envious of some of you,what I wouldnt give to be able to afford a square buttoned 13"latama.

Well Vagrant I have destroyed a few myself tryin to make somethin out of nothin. usually messin with a cheap Milano or such tryin to put a cocobolo handle on it. guess its like puttin perfume on a pig! Switchman1

Thanks Vagrant:Ive been collecting for a long time now and a lot of the knives I bought in the 60s and 70s have really gone up in price, but I didn't know of the name picklock until I bought my first issue of the newsletter, even though I had at least 10 of them in my collection. Hey fellas: I bought one of those collinis back in the early 80s for 65.00 Iwas told they were very rare. I knew the design was a George Shrade design, but the dealer told me that was so rare about this knife being from Italy. Oh well I guess we all get okey-doked at least once Switchman1

depressing the button

Hey fellas: Mr Vagrant is correct when he says to depress the button on leaf spring autos. some of the older model coricamas and latamas had what they call ramps leading to the pin hole in the blades tang that helped the pin last longer. switchman1[/quote]

hey guys; I am new to this forum but I do know knives and I do know the movie 12 angry men. In the original movie there were 2 kriss bladed 11" picklocks in the movie .In the inferior remake there was a woman on the jury as well as 2 out the front knives. best wishes switchman1
