Re: "Punisher" OTF mystery knife

I just ordered a Benchmade Infidel OTF Automatic Knife from BladeHQ. It’s a double action OTF that looks like a down-scale Desert Shark and is not as pricey, although it’s not cheap either. Have any of you loyal Talkbladers have one or have an opinion about the knife? I look forward to your comments...

Re: Imitation Horn

Natch - Get out of the PRC (Peoples’ Republic of California) as fast as you can for your family’s and your own sake!!! Lots of PRC license plates in the Tucson, AZ area in the past year. It’s way cheaper to live in the Tucson area, but housing prices are being driven up. Also, it’s easy to license, ...

Re: Imitation Horn

Jim - That reference should have been to “rugrats”, not “rigrats”. I’ve got to pay more attention to my spelling of snarky remarks. I’ll give them all springers fo Christmas.

Re: Imitation Horn

Natch - Thanks for the welcome back. You should know that eastern PA, Bucks county specifically, is not “Rust Belt”. It’s actually pretty rural. The place where we’ll be living is 200 yards from a creek and about 15 miles away from a state park with a good sized lake. I am currently in the mode of a...

Re: Imitation Horn

Jim - It wouldn’t be much of an “enduring question” if it didn’t persist, right? Tucson, AZ is nice and hot and dry and really okey-dokey if you like cactus. Lots of neat critters here too. My sainted wife and I will be moving back to PA soon. Time to retire and let the grandkids infect us with all ...

Re: Imitation Horn

“Pretty sure” doesn’t feed the crocodile! Enough Mayberry doo-doo. Does it warp or not (the imitation horn, not the doo-doo)?

Re: Switchblades

Bill,

Illegal in certain circumstances like getting caught by a cop with one. Otherwise, no problemo!

Re: Imitation Horn

Then it would have been either a 356A or B. The Cs began later. They were the last of the type before the 911 was introduced in the 1965 model year.

Re: Switchblades

You know, that Chuck Doyle really seems to have a firm grasp of this whole switchblade thing. All along I thought that there was much more to know about this type of knife and be able to differentiate between lengths, blade types/grinds, and styles. And "illegal"??!! Who would have guessed? Non-minu...

Re: Zimbabwe Wood?

Mr. Krak, But if the "wood" is imitation, any self-respecting nosferatu would know that there is nothing to fear. Drive an acrylic stake through their heart? Big deal! Vampires don't have to be springer collectors to know that plastic sucks. In fact and because of that (the fact that it sucks, that ...

Re: Imitation Horn

Jim, My saintly wife and I are doing well -no health problems yet even though everyone we know seems to be getting older. Our kids are fine, grandsons too. I'm still working and will continue to do so until I am found slumped over my desk or I hit the lottery, whichever comes first. I'm spending a l...
