Re: Found Inox 40 years ago...any info appreciated
Hey mchance, your knife handle does indeed appear to be stag, also commonly called staghorn, (tho this is kind of a misnomer as stag and horn are really two different things). Stag is the boney antler substance shed by deer, elk, moose etc. while horn is made of keratin and is permanent as with bull...

Re: Soviet/Russian Switchblade Automatic Knives
On page nine, I got the black checkered-handle knife with the swing guard. This one was really unique as the swinging guard is one piece (connected around the top of the guard). It's hard to tell at first glance, but it's a very innovative and cool design. These seem to be always something different...

Re: Soviet/Russian Switchblade Automatic Knives
I bought the purple handled one here listed as #1 (with the engraved top bolster). Awesome looking knife with plenty of character. Michaelz is honorable, trustworthy, and a true gentleman all the way.

Re: Vintage German WWII fantasy switchblade
Big Slim, I too think the knife is cool. If someone slightly altered the handles and replaced the symbols with an American eagle and a POW emblem, I bet it would sell like hotcakes.

Re: PA knife laws 2016
Yes! Wisconsin now allows knives, including switchblades, (signed into law by the Governor on 2-6-16) to be carried, concealed if preferred, by anyone who is legally able to own a firearm. You do not need a concealed carry permit, just the standard legal right to own a firearm i.e., not be a convict...

Re: South Of The Border
Cool posts. I too love that style of knife. I had one as a teenager, but lost it of course. (I actually traded it for an Italian stiletto which I thought looked cooler at the time, but didn't realize how much rarer the Mexican style knife really was.) Anyway, Ron built me a manual opening 9 inch kni...

WOW! That's gotta be the nicest pearl handle I've ever seen on a knife. Very nice matching front to back too. You scored.

Very, very nice. It strikes me as a perfect example of the timeless image of the original folding stiletto. So cool, I love it!

Wow Barb! You have some awesome looking abalone there. I myself am very picky about the particular knife scales on a knife, and will often wait for ages til I see just the right ones. Those abalone scales are in the "buy it now" category. Mighty nice. Congratulations, Shiv.

My condolences as well. Lost my fiance to the same condition. My prayers go out to the family. Take care and solace in the knowledge that he is known as an honorable man and a much respected member in this community.
