Alternative to an automatic

Gentlemen: I have already taken these absurd laws into consideration. If all else fails, I am going to obtain two SOG "Flash" knives. I'll be buying one for me and one for my Mrs. These have assisted-opening blades, so at least I wont lose my position over it. These, as you know, have AUS-8 blades a...

Dearest Push Button

The Fishtail Picklock will be the last-ditch backup on what is possibly the most obtuse of Ports Of Entry. What I fear most, is the possibility of not having enough manpower at the remote P.O.E (where I am very likely to be stationed.) Western Montana has a few P.O.E.s that close at 8:00 p.m. MDT. a...

Pushbutton & Hollowdweller

The reason that I want the knife to be recreated/resurrected is to carry it as a defense/working knife. If I can use the stronger steel and alloys, (ATS-34 or D-2 'tool" steel blade with a titanium alloy pivot pin) the durability issues will be addressed as they should be...with modern materials! Th...

Dear Gentlemen: (and I use the term loosely) I am not familiar with an I.T.H.. What precisely IS this obviously coveted piece of cutlery?

I also posess 1 8" Huberus Standard Hunter, (rosewood scales with a standard blade) 2 Benchmade knives (an early AFO ...

That's O.K.. I want the "spirit" of my father's knife to be preserved. A modern, higher-grade material would have made daddy proud!

Unfortunately, they stopped putting the Damascus blade on their "Fish." I know, I asked. The told me that it is no longer available. Damn!

Exchanging the blade on an F. Beltrame "Fish'

F. Beltrame offers a 10" O.A.L. Fishtail Italian Picklock. I am considering having one sent to me (from the manufacturer) unassemebled. I would have the blade duplicated in D2 or ATS-34 steel, replace the pivot pin with one of a sturdier metal (e.g. titanium alloy.) I would then have something akin ...

Dear Brothers: My father was a First-Class Boatswain's mate (UDT) in the U.S. Navy. On his side, in an open-top scabbard. he carried a marlinspike with a adjustable-end wrench silver-soldered on its end. Alongside this tool he carried a 10 3/4" Italian Fishtail Picklock with a high-carbon steel blad...

Why is that? Don't they want their knives to be used as tools? A properly hardened ATS-34, 154CM or D2 steel blade would make these knives lend themselves to act as "working tools" rather than "pig stickers." I, for one, would embrace them and trumpet their use for riggers and the like. it only make...

What are the odds of getting AB coltellerie to begin manufacturing an 11" Automatic with a Standard blade manufactured in ATS-34 Steel? They already make a 9" model, Why not an 11" version? If I could get one with a horn handle I'd be really happy. (For a while.)

Just bought another GREAT "automatic!"

Ladies and Gentlemen: I just sent my Money Order off for a Buck 110 Converted to full-automatic. it may not seem like an "impressive" blade, but it will be another real "worker bee." I am planing to work as an Immigration Inspector within 6 months. As such, I'm planning to have an entire series of a...
