Re: Imitation Horn

Terry - here is one from today's newspaper I found amusing. "Police charged a woman with one misdemeanor count of injury to personal property, one misdemeanor count of intoxication and disruptive behavior, one misdemeanor count of indecent exposure, one misdemeanor count of public urination, and one...

Re: Olivetto Deerfoot

That is both a model and a stamp we don't see often. Great find and thanks for sharing.

Re: Forgotten auto

Like many of us, I purchased a number of Italian stilettos and German leverlocks from Stu back in the early 2000s, usually in quantities of 1 to 3 at a time. Sometimes he would just throw in one of the cheapies with my order. If they quit working, or never worked properly, I rationalized that they w...

Fishtail - in my opinion, the XK8 is one of the most visually appealing cars ever made.

Re: Boker Kalashnikov

Twobit - I don't carry the knife so I can't help assess whether there are pocket opening issues.

Re: Boker Kalashnikov

Terry,

You are correct. Mine, which I bought a couple of years ago does not have a safety.

Re: Boker Kalashnikov

I have one which is my user switchblade, a decent, rugged, inexpensive, knife with good steel.

Re: due buoi

Tom - if you are referring to the Due Buoi, it is hard to establish a value as it is not often they appear on the market. When they do, it comes down to the asking price and if there is a buyer with the "gottahaveits" My thinking is that 500 would be a speculators asking price. If you are referring ...

Re: due buoi

Allen - nice photos! Was the Atlanta show where you had to try several Due Buois the one where the US Due Buoi representative exhibited substandard behavior? Ian - those Due Buoi leverlocks are extremely hard to find on this side of the Atlantic as well. I made a huge blunder by not grabbing one dur...

Re: due buoi

Tom - I can explain both. The Godfather is the "Godfather for stiletto collectors". It was sort of a forum knife, like the Due Buoi. We did it in the 2007 - 8 timeframe. Take a look at my comment in the Brazilian horn thread from a couple of days ago. Likewise with the Mikov, sort of a forum knife t...
