Re: 380 Choices

Most departments only require 12 hours of range time/ training/ qualifying annually for rank and file officers. Woeful to say the least. I personally know officers that cannot tell if there is a round in the chamber of their sidearm without racking the slide. (Glock 22's.) Police justifiably have gr...

Re: 380 Choices

Mr. Viking, If someone is the aggressor, then aim for center mass and blow the motherfucker away. Best regards, Bonz Exactly. Never stop until the threat is horizontal. Let the prostitutes errr...lawyers/courts sort out justification, liability etc... If you get to that point at least you survived....

Re: 380 Choices

Trigger control on a pistol is 85-95% of the marksmanship factor. Under stress the first shot or the first few frequently do not arrive at the target where we think we aimed( misses.) A weapon you shoot well instinctively will help this as will proper training. I always recommend the best training y...

Re: 380 Choices

Ok. I'm gonna weigh in here. My biggest recommendation is that she gets a gun she instinctively shoots well regardless of size or caliber. How it feels means nothing to how well you can shoot it. A gun that feels well in the hand can be limp wristed during firing contributing to stove pipe jams( in ...

Conflict resolution.

Holy crap there has been a lot of infighting and banning on here lately. If someone cannot get something off their chest and rebute/ refute inflammatory statements by others. Then there can be no resolution to a conflict. Banning someone or locking a thread does nothing but create resentment. I woul...

Re: Defense

@Jim. Before you tip your hand with your defensive weapon. You should assess the situation as quickly as possible. Multiple assailants? Assailant has gun? Etc. As soon as the confrontation starts a lot went wrong. I always make eye contact with strangers. Watch their body mechanics. ( Concealed hand...

Re: OKAPI Conversion

I've dealt with both of them for a few years now. I've never had a problem with them. Just saying. This forum should have left all posts on the matter accessible. Let people make up their own minds on the matter. And before the flaming begins. I will pm ANYONE my true name address and phone number. ...

Re: Defense

As someone with a modicum of training in defense/tactics. I would like to weigh in here. First and foremost. If you find yourself in a situation where a weapon is required the training with that weapon is most important. Adrenalin retards almost all fine motor skills. (Dropping knives/batons is more...

Re: CMI italian stiletto brand of quality for roadside

I am currently mid build using these same damascus bolsters on a 9" Omerta damascus blade. The bolsters come from JB raw. (He has them made domestically.) Trying to blend grind them is a royal PITA! I am just rounding the tops and leaving the rear of the front bolsters flat. And just filing the rear...

Re: Wtb. 13" AGA Campolin/ Pascotto picklock 5mm stag

Yeah. I have the 10" and 15" Campolins. They are great knives. Bernie. Would you please let me/us know when you get any Walts pick locks (11 or 13) stag or Brazilian in? I already have the 9" and two 11" bolster releases. Or I would buy the ones you have left. Sorry.

Bernie. These had the "Wow" factor you spoke of in the other thread. I would still love to have one. Either stag or Brazillian. Still looking. And yes I saw the one on Sd auctions.

Re: wanted large knife case

I use customdisplays.com. They have 2" And 3" deep. Up to 2' by 2'. Stay away from oak though. Oak tends to be kind of acidic. I've seen knives tarnish and rust from being displayed in them.
Hope this helps you out.
